▪ Core Student Members – African women economists living either in Africa or in the Diaspora who are students.
▪ Non-core Members – Those who do not qualify as either Core Members— i.e., all males and non-African women.
Membership benefits include:
- Participating in the Mentoring Program
- Opportunities to interact with other women economists
- Presenting papers at conferences
- Sponsorship to attend technical workshops
- Getting information about job opportunities, grants, etc
- Graduate student scholarships
Note that some activities, such as the mentoring program and graduate student scholarships, are open only to Core members.
