The activities of AAAWE include:

Organize mentoring programs and webinars.

• Organize sessions at major economics conferences in Africa and internationally.
• Sponsor African women economists to present papers at conferences.
• Provide funding for African women economists to participate in technical workshops.
• Connect African women economists with other scholars in their fields who can serve as mentors.
• Provide grants to PhD students working on their dissertations.
